RCBS Wednesday Blues Shows

About:
The River City Blues Society has had a
successful run of Wednesday Blues Shows in Pekin, Illinois. However,
like all good things, it's going to come to an end, at least for the time
being.
The GOOD news: There is ONE remaining shows for you to catch, though! The remaining show will
take place at Goodfellas Pub & Pizza (map)
on 8th Street in Pekin. Show will still start at 7pm and run until 9
or 10pm. Don't miss the last chance for great BLUES in your backyard
at an early time for a bargain price!

The LAST show is:

September 16 -
Eddie Turner

Raised in
Chicago, Eddie "devilboy
" Turner picked up his first guitar, a candy apple multi-pickup Japanese
Tiesco, when he was twelve.
"Otherworldly",
"scorching", "polyrhythmic" and "chilling" have all been used to describe
Eddie Turner’s guitar playing. His ethereal style is an amalgam of
the Afro-Cuban rhythms of his heritage and the music that influenced him as
a teenager: Chicago blues, jazz, r&b and
psychedelic rock. The
Cuban-born singer/guitarist cut his teeth in several rock bands contributing
what Slate magazine describes as "spacey-yet-resounding solos."
